Could you finish the story?

It was our first Christmas without Ben and I knew the girls would miss their dad.I thought if we celebrated at home, Ben’s absence would be too obvious, so I rented a cottage near the sea in Norfolk. I was determined that my first Xmas as a single mum would be a success.

We arrived the day before Xmas Eve. The cottage was very small and old. The kitchen was tiny and there was no room in the miniature fridge for the enormous turkey I had brought. So, as it was freezing cold, I decided to leave it locked in the boot of the car with the Xmas presents.

Katie and Emily weren`t very enthusiastic .They asked me a hundred times if Father Xmas would know where to come. The old floorboards creaked during the night, and the girls were too scared to stay in their own room because of the ghost noises...
